These terms govern your use of ExamFix, a GCSE Science revision platform. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

These terms govern your use of ExamFix, a GCSE Science revision platform provided by ExamFix. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

Definitions

  • "ExamFix" refers to the GCSE Science revision platform and the organisation that operates it.
  • "We/us/our" refers to ExamFix and its operators.
  • "User/you/your" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the platform.
  • "Platform" refers to the ExamFix website, apps, and all related services.
  • "Paid membership" refers to Premium or Premium Plus, each subject to the features, fair-use, safety and technical limits shown at purchase.

Account registration

  • ExamFix is available only to users aged 13 or over. You must be aged 13 or over to create or use an ExamFix account.
  • Accounts require a valid email address.
  • Users are responsible for keeping login details secure and for all activity that occurs through their account.

Subscription and payments

  • The free plan includes 3 questions per day.
  • Handwritten-answer scanning has a separate fair-use allowance to control processing costs: currently up to 1 scan per day and 5 per month on Free, and up to 5 scans per day and 50 per month on paid student memberships.
  • Snap a Question has its own fair-use allowance: currently up to 1 converted question per day and 3 per month on Free, and up to 5 per day and 50 per month on paid student memberships. These limits may be adjusted as the feature develops.
  • Individual Premium costs £7.99/month or £59/year. Premium Plus costs £10.99/month or £79/year.
  • A Parent account may link up to 2 student accounts. Parent linking is free and does not change either student's individual membership.
  • Premium Plus currently includes up to 60 minutes of Live AI Tutor conversation per student per month. Allowances reset monthly, do not roll over, and may include per-session, idle-time and fair-use safeguards.
  • Billing is recurring and will continue until you cancel your subscription.
  • You can cancel anytime via your account settings.
  • Refunds for partial billing periods are not normally provided, except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed by ExamFix.

Acceptable use

  • Do not share your account with others.
  • Do not attempt to access other users' data or accounts.
  • Do not use the platform to cheat in live exams.
  • Only upload images that contain your own study answer or study material that you are authorised or otherwise permitted to use for your private study. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit uploaded questions or materials.
  • Do not use Snap a Question to create a public archive, distribute uploaded material to other users, scrape assessment content, or bypass restrictions placed on secure, confidential or controlled assessment materials.
  • Do not upload explicit, harmful, illegal, unrelated, identity, payment, password, or other sensitive personal images.
  • Do not reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the platform's content or code.

AI accuracy and safe use

ExamFix uses AI for marking, feedback, guided learning, speech and selected scanning features. Snap a Question can generate an ExamFix marking guide when the user has not supplied an official mark scheme. That generated guidance is not an official exam-board or teacher mark scheme and may differ from one. AI responses may occasionally contain errors. The platform is a study support tool, not a replacement for teacher guidance or official exam preparation.

Users must not deliberately misuse AI or scanning features to submit harmful, illegal, sensitive or unrelated material. More information is available on our AI Safety & Safeguarding page.

Intellectual property

ExamFix branding, platform code and content created by ExamFix belong to ExamFix or its licensors. User-submitted answers remain the user's property. Uploading a question through Snap a Question does not transfer ownership of that source material to ExamFix and does not make it part of ExamFix's public question bank. Users must respect third-party copyright and any restrictions that apply to material they upload.

Limitation of liability

ExamFix is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for exam outcomes, grades, or decisions based on platform feedback. Our maximum liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the preceding 3 months.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Users may delete their account at any time.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified via email.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
